PURPLE IRIS

These are coming in to flower now. A lovely subject to paint.
I was so moved by the ingenuity of a group of children who come to art. They all want to knit and two little boys have been nagging me, so I challenged them to bring me the knitting needles that they claimed to have made. Well they did- ordinary pieces of wire and two blunt sucker sticks! They managed to knit with these clumsy implements with scraps wool that they scrounged from somewhere and had started knitting scarves. I was SO impressed that I sourced some wool and kebab sticks for them. Kafe Fasset watch out!
