Almshouses

Unimaginative title, but that's what they are!!

Into Bristol today to visit an elderly relative who lives in these almshouses. They were built in 1691 and have been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building. That makes them very attractive to look at from the outside but not so comfortable on the inside!

Strange weather today: dark menacing clouds that never came to anything, interspersed with 'brighter' spells that produced this horrible, flat, grey light and consequently a flat, dull photo!

And I'm blaming the wonky 17th century pavement for the fact that this shot isn't quite level!! ;)
