Caps On!

Today, our gate pillar which had been demolished some months ago has been rebuilt and the capping stone lowered onto the column.

The hessian sacking is to protect the lime mortar whilst it sets in these cold conditions.

Fingers crossed that this is the final part of the saga and our four gate pillars will remain in place.
