Flood subsiding

A Flood alert and a Flood warning yesterday followed by a message cancelling the Flood warning this morning. So we went out for a walk this afternoon to have a look at one of the local fords.
No chance of getting across this even in a 4x4, and this is one of the roads that could be our only entrance/exit when Highways shut our road on Monday for 7 weeks.
There is another way but that has huge potholes, is single track without passing places and floods in at least 3 locations......
Still not been told what is happening about access in the period of road closure and what they are going to do to ensure bins are emptied and post delivered!
