Causeway

Today I took Mrs I to shop at Aldi in Ludlow.

We saw a lot of flooded fields after the recent rain and snowmelt. The collage shows both sides of the road as it crosses the River Corve on the way to its confluence with the River Teme. The Corve often bursts its banks here and floods the surrounding fields. In the lower picture the backs of houses in Corve Street can be seen. Several of the houses are used as holiday lets and will have fine views of the temporary inland lake!
