Tow Hill Pond: Tracks on Snow
My husband and I went for about a three-mile walk into the Scotia Barrens, via Tow Hill. It was a nice enough day, and the weather forecast said that snow was coming, arriving sometime overnight. So we decided to get out for some exercise.
This is a view of one of the Tow Hill Ponds, covered in snow. There are animal tracks in the foreground. We debated what animal may have made them. The tracks went all the way across the pond.
The tracks were a bit too big for cat; not exactly dog; maybe a fox. But who knows? In winter, all things seem to be revealed upon the frozen landscape. But there are still plenty of mysteries after all, even when you can see everything there is to see!
Our soundtrack song is U2 with Mysterious Ways. It's the first version of this song I've ever seen that includes a belly dancer, of all things.
P.S. It's the same pond as in this shot. It looks very different when frozen and covered in snow!
