Moon over Mordor

On our way to Sundsvall we pass Birsta, a giant shopping area spread both sides of the main road and probably larger than some towns.
What you see here is just a small part of the whole. Our nickname for this place is Mordor, which gives some indication of how we feel about its existence.
Having written that, there are times when it is a choice between buying online or buying at Birsta for certain items, which explains why we are here, despite our dislike of the place. It seems slightly more environmentally friendly to be buying from an actual person in a shop, compared to the Amazon mode of business.
As we suspected it was very crowded - you could definitely “feel the buzz”, which for my London sister is a positive, but when the buzz seems to involve irritated parents, crying children, and grumpy teenagers I’m not sure it is such a great thing.
Anyway, we did our thing as swiftly as possible and as we were leaving I got my blip of these rather stylish reindeer in light, with the moon and Venus(?) looking down on Mordor.
Once we were done we drove on to Sundsvall where Livia and Roger were waiting for us. Livia had prepared a simple and delicious Italian meal. We exchanged gifts, and chatted on about jobs, politics, the state of the world, and camper vans. One moment it was 9 o’clock and we were thinking we’d stay a while longer, and seemingly just a short while later it was suddenly 11:30 and I was feeling tired. This was a pity because I was the non-drinking driver and therefore had to stay awake all the way home. As I drove homeward Jan entertained me with discussions and songs and we arrived back home safely.
