Life is just a bowl of cherries

I bought cherries to make a clafoutis for tonight's reading group.

We're discussing The Orphan-Master's Son by Adam Johnson. I just mistyped that as "Sin". Freudian slip perhaps. The book won the Pulitzer Prize. It's a dystopian thing, set in North Korea. About 200 pages too long, I'd say. But others may disagree!
