Golden Hour Light, Golden Hour Care

In 1965 a group us were taken from our boarding school on a tour of a newly opened, state-of-the-art hospital. At the time I lived forty miles away. I didn't dream that my son would be born in its maternity unit or that I would be taking my husband there for regular appointments relating to his ARMD sixty years later.

After a very dull, wet day the sun broke through late this afternoon as we were leaving. I don't suppose the huge chimney is still in use. I like the shadow of the mature pines that are in the grounds of the former Parndon Hall which was incorporated into the site. A new hospital is being constructed but the opening date has been revised from 2028 to 2032.

I've seen no sign of lame magpie today but the tweety birds have been enjoying the food I put on the aluminium steps. (Extras)
