Guiding Glory!

Rutherglen currently has an exhibition of Guiding memorabilia in the local library. I was a very keen brownie, guide, ranger and enjoyed all activities and camps especially being part of a huge international camp in Denmark in 1970. My one failing was map reading and those who know me know that I still have NO sense of direction!
During my years as a guide South Lanarkshire set us a challenge (1963) - I undertook to make a dress for £1 and my buddy painted this poster (no felt pens in those days) which she has kept for 50 years! I didn't win a prize but she did - not that I bear any grudges!
