Every Picture Tells .....

Moel y Parc

TUESDAY

The day  started with a greeting of sleet and rain. Just as I was about to give up on the idea of a run, the skies cleared and I grabbed my running shoes and shorts and headed down to the River Clwyd and back - a 5.2 km round trip.

The sun made a brief appearance on the downhill bit, but the 105 metre climb on the way back was a different story with rain, hail and sleet.

It was pretty cold but I enjoyed the run which took me just over 32 minutes.

Later in the afternoon,  I went for a walk around the village to hit my 10,000-step goal. After a lazy day yesterday, the exercise was much needed.

On this morning's run I stopped to take this photo of  Moel y Parc. One of the Clwydian Hills and stands 398 meters (1,306 feet) above sea level. There's a television mast near the summit and the hill is also home to an ancient cairn and tumulus.

Now ready for Silent Witness.
