Orla had organised to go bowling with Hannah this afternoon, going on the train, but with the trains cancelled we all made a trip to Stirling and dropped the girls off at Hollywood Bowl. Then Mum, Dad and Conor had a walk up to the castle. Conor described the whole area as 'liminal', a very good word for an 11 year old! He was expressing the almost disconnect from reality in the deserted cold grey streets lined with grand old buildings, mostly seemingly now empty. Echos of the past.
