Canterbury Provincial Council Buildings

A fruitless visit into CBD today but I did take a walk around Victoria Square and the Provincial Council buildings. The council buildings are still waiting to be restored from damage from earthquakes in 2010-2011.  The covered area in foreground has stacks of stone saved in hopes of restoration. 
The Avon River is running high with all the rain we have had recently.  At least it hasn't broken the banks.  
I finally found where the challenges are listed today "manmade".  The building is definitely manmade and just waiting for man to remake it.
