Sydney Harbour Bridge and passenger craft

It's a relief to have a cooler day in a Sydney summer, but not so much when I'm going out. I never know what to wear and whatever I choose will be wrong. So I dressed for the summer to go by train then ferry to Manly for lunch with an old school friend. By the time I got to the train station I knew I'd made a poor choice of apparel. It was already pouring with rain. When I got to Manly it was a driving rain and blowing a hoolie and about a 15 minute walk to the restaurant. Once there the lunch date and I had a wonderful time, conversing and looking out over a stormy bay.

Then I had to do it all in reverse to get home. Fortunately I was just in time for the ferry and had only a four minute wait for the train, during which time I took the photo for wide Wednesday with the subtheme of manufactured. I like the bridge in the mist but I fear I'll never again see this view without an enormous ocean liner in it.

It was bliss to get home and dry.
