In Which My Agents Take Delivery of Two Packages

I don't know about you, but one of my occasional amusements in winter time is to place an order on Amazon. On Friday night, around 10:30, I was feeling peckish. I was out of Chex Mix. A friend of mine made it for Christmas and gave several of us friends some. I loved it. I ate it every night while I had it. Now it's all gone. So it is that I have fallen upon hard times, snackwise, anyway.

I looked it up. Discovered you can indeed buy Chex Mix online. Same price on Amazon as Walmart. So I put two bags in my Amazon cart. I didn't expect it would be nearly as good as what my friend made, but I was feeling desperate. I added a few more items to my cart. Got free shipping, yay. Placed my order.

And of course, it gave me that message that anything I wanted to order for the next 24 hours would be free shipping. Cool. I placed more orders that night. I placed several more the next day. When I get my next statement, no doubt it will reveal the fact that a hyperactive squirrel on crack apparently got hold of my credit card. I hate it when that happens.     ;-)

Anyway, much of the stuff I ordered arrived on this day. Among the goodies were two tiny hand warmers (SO ADORBS!), black underwear, a black bathing suit on lightning deal for $9 (husband *cluelessly*: "How many bathing suits does a girl NEED?"), a purple laundry storage bag to store one of my sleeping bags in, and yes, two bags of Chex Mix.

This photo shows my agents taking delivery of the packages. On top is Tiny Tiger, who is chief inspector of packages. In the middle is the Anteater, checking for ants, of course. Down below are a large pink bear, the Moose, a smaller pink bear, the Christmas bear, and a frog. I didn't notice until later that the Moose was whispering sweet nothings into that little pink bear's ear, as the Christmas bear tried to hold her hand. Shenanigans are afoot!

The new tiny hand warmers are charged and have already been tested out. We spent the evening cooing over how cute they are, as they are a fair amount smaller than the original pair I bought last year (that we use all the time). But they say they have a longer charge life. We shall see. The Chex Mix, of course, is nowhere near as good as my friend's, but it'll get me through. I put some celery salt on it and it was pretty good.

And here's the good news: more packages are arriving tomorrow!

My soundtrack song for this Amazon order that I want to blame on a crackhead squirrel (yes, that's my story and I'm sticking to it) is this one: Ray Stevens, with The Mississippi Squirrel Revival.
