New Year and the Birthday Meal

Given the current state of play in our family we were lucky to get a really nice meal at The Shore Bar in Leith to celebrate my birthday. I am still awaiting a diagnosis for my shortness of breath and dizziness ( though fortunately any heart defects has been ruled out ) and my wife, Margaret fell yesterday when she was walking the dog and has really hurt her back. Furthermore we heard from my step daughter in work who has fallen in the snow and broken her wrist and spent 15 hours in A & E getting it reset.My son, Adam joined us for the meal told us that his mum, my ex-wife has been taken into hospital with flu so all in all we have not had a very bright start to the New Year. So it was quite nice to have a tasty meal to bolster our spirits.
