Coal Tit

I took this photo of the coal tit after filling up the bird feeders, it doesn't take them long to re-appear!  It was very cold today, below or at freezing all day. I did a lot of mundane household things. Just about to watch the film Blitz on Apple TV before my one month free trial ends, I've been looking forward to it.

I also contacted Adobe about the 50% rise in the monthly fee. I first did it by chat as this seemed the only option. As always with 'chat', I didn't fully understand what I was being told. The upshot is that yes, that's the case with all new renewals on the anniversary of set up, but when I queried it the Lightroom only option isn't increasing. However, when I showed interest in this, she offered me a good annual price for my current package, actually less than what I paid last year (although she was unclear if it included VAT). However she wanted to cancel my plan and set it up again - this is the bit I wanted more info on, so she gave me a link to the phone numbers for Adobe by country. I asked for the transcript, she agreed to send it, it never arrived. The phone call was much better. She did have to delete my current subscription, I queried the part month I'd paid and she refunded this. She then set up the new subscription to the same plan at a different price to that quoted (slightly cheaper) and sent me a link to agree to it. She assured me it is seamless and all would work ok, and it did today, although there was a Lightroom update notification so I'll see how it works tomorrow. I will also await my credit card bill to see if what I think I'm being charged is what is charged (I did take a screen shot of the page showing what I was agreeing to). My guess is that in effect I've just deferred the increase for a year. The number to contact Adobe on in the UK is 020 7365 0735 if you want to query it with them when you get your price increase notification, which should be one month beforehand.
