A Wintry Wednesday

Still very chilly outside today, but sadly without any sunshine to make it bearable. I got various chores done around the house before my sister arrived for lunch. We are both glad to be back to normal after the Christmas and New Year break, not only so that we once again know what day of the week it is, but also so that we are back to normal eating and can get the extra pounds off that we’ve gained.

We decided to start working together on rejuvenating the front garden here in March (weather permitting). There’s a lot of work to do over the next year - possibly longer - to get the bungalow how I’d like it, with a very long list of jobs to organise inside and outside.

Bit of an Emergency Blip today - this is a rose at the side of the house which has bloomed midwinter, and there’s a bud on the same plant, though with the current frosts I don’t think it will get any further.
