Spiky Boots

Perfect for a day like today, lots of icy surfaces and slip hazards.

The boots are an old and slightly leaky pair that have been repurposed for walking on ice. The spikes are from a trip to Sweden, and are screwed into the rubber sole and heel.

And a few more days wearing them at least according to the forecast.  Our street is mainly cobbled and north facing so it usually stays icy longer than usual.  Apparently walking on ice is good for your balance - less of a test with these boots on.
