Mallory

Fletcher, C and I really miss our Sweetest Dog Ever...Tara, who left us last November. C suggested early on that we 'foster' a dog who is looking for a forever home. I wasn't keen on the idea because knowing me, as I of course do, I could see 'failed foster' written all over my cards! But, yesterday, I saw this girl on ACAR's (Alachua County Animal Resources) FB page. She had just begun treatment for Heart Worms and they were looking for a foster for her during the month it takes to rid her heart of the parasites. Long story short...I took Fletch to meet her yesterday afternoon and it was LOVE at First Sight! So Mallory is with us at least until February 6, at which time she will become available for adoption. Mallory is a five? year old American (on the very small side at 41 lbs) Bulldog. My guess is that she was used for breeding and then surrendered to ACAR. But I don't think anyone knows for sure. She is sharp as a tack, sweet as they come and very athletic, although for now must be kept very quiet for a month. And oh, did I mention CUTE? For Maica, our 14yr old Elder Dog, the jury is still out. She's tried to 'scare' Mallory with her 'tough/nasty little dog' routine but Mallory took no offense and walked away. I'm certain to share at least a few more photos of this sweetie throughout the month. m
