Just Another Bright Spot in the Day
I could get used to these carefree days. We are all ready to leave except for putting the last few bags in the SUV. I washed the last load of laundry, ironed a pair of slacks and shirt to take and cleaned the refrigerator. Hubby picked up Mancil so we could visit while the shop was changing his oil. We caught up on things of interest. I called my mother to see how she is doing. She sounds fine and cannot wait to collect her first “coupon outing” of the year. My sister has some ideas on how to make the outing special. We have so many birds visiting. I think the cardinal looks so good on snow days. We got an update from our neighbor. The girl who had the sledding accident is their 16 yo exchange student. She was transferred to Children’s Hospital where she had surgery to reset her fractured femur bone. I saw the x-ray - hard to look at! Her mom is flying to the states to be with her. Mancil came back to see if he could find the right sized piece of lumber for his “dark room shelf” down in hubby’s workshop. None of hubby’s scrap material will work; it is too thin or too heavy. I think Mancil was disappointed I already had my blip when he was here the first time. So, he and “Granddad” are in the extras. Hubby is already napping and I have dozed off once while trying to write this. We have more warming soup ready for dinner and enough to take for dinner in our hotel tomorrow. I have the salad ingredients ready as well. Wishing you a fine day tomorrow. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge.” - Psalm 91:4.
