Low winter sun...

It fascinates me that the winter sun drops below the horizon at these trees belonging to our neighbour, on the opposite side of the street, but in summer it is high above those trees as it makes it way round to the other side of our house, to set behind trees on our side of the street.  

I was cheered up by the realisation that in just three and a half weeks, it will still be daylight at 4pm-4.30pm.  Spring will be on it's way :-)

Bit of a chaotic day today.  

The plumber arrived at 7.45am.  D was in the shower!  Luckily Jordan let him in and knowing what was needed, he got on with it.  D was downstairs by 8am and I was in the shower by 8.02am, wanted to get showered asap incase they needed to turn the water off.  Thankfully they didn't!

D headed off to play golf, I tidied up in anticipation of my cleaning lady coming in.  L usually comes on a Thursday but has an appointment tomorrow so changed to today, which was lucky as new sofas are coming between 9am & 11am tomorrow morning.  Exciting!  :-)

Took photos of our corner sofa to try to sell on our local FB page.  It's only 7 years old and in good condition.  The chair, large stool and footstool are already going to a good home, so just the sofa to shift.  Uploaded it to FB and have been inundated with enquiries!  Had a pending sale within 5 minutes.  The woman is going to come back to me tomorrow to let me know if she will collect Saturday or Sunday.  If that falls through I have an around 15 others wanting to purchase!  It's now dismantled and in the hall and the garden room awaits the new furniture.

Nick made great progress with the Team's kitchen today, once the plumber sorted the water and heating.  All that's left for him to do tomorrow is lay the second half of the floor, fit the kick plates and clean.  I can't wait to get in there and get all the accessories in their places.  I've told the team the control freak in me needs to play at houses and lay everything out, then they can change it all round to suit themselves :-)
