More new boots

I worked from home as I was still feeling a bit out of sorts and as snow was forecast to hit in the middle of the day. It actually arrived later in the afternoon and it didn’t settle much in Cullompton but some parts of Exeter saw lots more.  The usual high spots of Telegraph and Haldon Hill were a nightmare with the roads closed by the police and some people stranded there for over 4 hours.

I have to take that route tomorrow for a trip to Torquay so I am hoping it is much better once the gritters and snow ploughs have a night of work at it.  If it looks too dodgy when I attempt it in the morning I may just need to abandon the trip.

Ian arrived home early from Surrey as he was also making sure he travelled before the worst of the weather.  As he bought me red boots for Christmas he had a message to say a green version were in a half price sale so he surprised me with a pair.  These have a lovely heart pattern.

I will be spoilt for choice now when deciding what boots to wear. And these gifts are perfectly timed given the chilly days ahead.
