Ripening nicely
Got home from work rather later than I expected due to a number of late tasks which had to be done as I don't work Fridays. There wasn't time to have a walk, so I wandered around the garden instead.
I have been watching the development of a 'heritage' tomato. It has been ripening slowly, and today I noticed soft reds, and decided to pick it and allow it to tipen on the kitchen windowsill.
Daughter C and Mr H came to dinner. I was the BBQ chef; steaks and mushrooms (on the side burner). Started well and then quite abruptly, the flames died down. So I changed the gas bottle. Restarted the side burner, but couldn't light any other burner.. Eventually I remembered. The main burners have to be alight first, and the side burner afterwards. All good and we had a happy time with family.
