The Lord of the Rings

It was very frozen again today. Our hens are not pleased and don’t want to come out of their snug house. There are plenty of birds coming to our feeders, goldfinches and chaffinches particularly.
We got out to the supermarket although the road was quite icy in places, and Rob walked Bonnie down Beehive Lane, while I baked some mince pies!
We have been rewatching The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and after some years we found it very enjoyable again. And interestingly the DVD set we have is the extended version, and we both thought we hadn’t seen parts of it. So we must have watched it on TV perhaps in the past. Frodo sailed off into the sunset so we will have to choose something else tomorrow!
