Splitting logs

I went out to the supermarket in Harlow first thing to buy some provisions for our journey back. There is still a lot of food left over from the wake, but when I checked online, all the perishable food was out of the fridge too long for it to be safe to eat. Everything in the fridges ought, therefore, to be thrown away. However, David says he will strip all the meat off the chicken thighs and make a pie or soup but it is still a risk and I prefer not to have food poisoning before travelling tomorrow! I went for a walk around the green after lunch just for a bit of exercise. It is exactly 1 mile around its perimeter. David was busy when I returned operating the power log splitter attached to his tractor.
