Friday afternoon walk

One of the many reasons I love Sheffield is for the hills in and around the city. Nik and I went for a  brief late afternoon walk up at the Bole Hills park, a few minutes' drive from home.  The ground is still frozen hard, needing care in negotiating paths covered with glassy layers of ice and snow. The views were wonderful,  out across Rivelin Valley and across Stannington to the hills beyond - every detail picked out in white.
