'A Wintery Scene'

Inverleith Pond was properly frozen over in the hard frost we had last night and stayed so all day.

This was the scene just after sunset: people playing ice hockey, dog walkers taking to the ice with their dogs (doing their best to play catch with them on the slippery surface) and school kids trying to hack holes in the ice with branches they'd found nearby.

A bit of a novelty and all good fun on a beautiful cold evening!
