ICM at ICU

Well, where do I start...

Let's go back to November 2018.

My emergency surgery for perforated bowel and my introduction to Walter, my stoma.

Then fast forward to April 2023 and again December 2023, Emergency admissions to A&E due to blockage caused by twisted bowel and hernia.

All three of these events were memorably agonising.

Then on Thursday evening it happened again.

Ambulance to Shrewsbury Hospital and consent given to operate to repair the hernia. No option really.

So now here I am being pampered by the lovely nursing staff who are faultless and unstinting in the level of care they provide.

Very very sore but alive and once again feeling blessed!
