Instagrammer

I’d bent down to take a picture of one of the large coloured cubes dotting the plaza and was getting up when I saw him smiling as he pressed the shutter. It’s a Canon film camera and he’s been using it since he arrived in Sydney. He posts his photos on Instagram. I showed him Blipfoto. We exchanged names, took each other’s photo again and I left him at Newtown Bridge about to take a picture of someone else. I’ll try smiling now when I take pictures of strangers on the street.
