The Nuke

Here the regular nuclear waste train crosses the Arnside Viauct. It is the first time I have seen it for several months. That may be because it comes very early before we are out.
The train brings nuclear waste from several power stations and takes it to the processing facility at Sellafield on the Cumbrian coast.
It always has two large diesel locos. This is not because two are needed to haul the weight but in case one of them breaks down.
