Coming home
Well the forecast was right and today dawned frostless. Still some patches of snow about, but it's disappearing and the bright sunny days are being replaced by the gloooooom! There's been a bit of drizzle about too.
No fresh fish at the pier until next week, but we paid a visit to the library and to M&S as I'd ordered a pair of indoor shoes. We had another wander round Homebase as it's been announced that the store will finally close next Saturday. It's looking very empty and apparently nobody has come forward with an interest in taking over the lease. We bought a couple of cupboard door handles reduced from £8 to 80p! They have some good terra-cotta garden pots, but only 50% off - I'm going to pop in later in the week to see if I can get a real bargain!
As it happened, the M&S shoes weren't right for me so I had to return during the afternoon to hand them back and then go elsewhere to buy a pair of old man's slippers to tide me over! OK, I am an old man, but I still don't like old man's slippers!
I had a look around the harbour for a Blip, but it's not a good photography day. Eventually I took a picture of this Sea-tours boat coming back into harbour, with the Hutchison Monument on Kerrera in the background. Not a lot else going on.
