Cold and frosty

Saturday 11th January 2025

The first walk for our Walking Group today. Six had signed up but three pulled out today because of the cold and concerns about the icy. Three of us decided to give it a go and did 5 miles around Croxteth  Park. Most of the way the paths were easy to walk on despite the snow. It was -1degree when I took the above photo.

There were a couple of small patches of ice which didn't both us but there was one section where the ice completely covered the path for a short distance.  Thankfully others had been before us and broken the ice along the edge where it is usually muddy, giving some areas to find a grip.

In the picture in the extras there was one person using ice skates on a large section of grass that had obviously been flooded.

We finished with our usual pub lunch, with a bonus of having a 30% off voucher.
