Considering this was taken through a tiny gap in the curtains at the side of the stage, I’m quite impressed I managed to capture the moment Aladdin has to leap up and press the emergency stop button in the washing machine because Widow Twankey, Wishee Washee and one of the policemen are trapped inside! You’ll have to come and see the show to find out why they’re in there, and what happens next.
Two performances down now and two more to go this weekend - one tonight and one tomorrow afternoon. Last night was well received and this afternoon’s audience was pretty good for a matinee crowd. So far, so good - a couple of fluffed/missed lines here and there, but no major cock- ups!
I’ve popped home between performances to chill for a bit and have something for tea. A lot of the cast have gone out for a meal, but I’m saving that for next week when there will only be one show left!
Hopefully I can summon up some reserves of energy from somewhere to get me through this evening’s show…
