City View
Options were limited for parkrun this morning as, once again, icy conditions took their toll and Holyrood was the only Edinburgh city parkrun to survive. It was a chilly morning, but, fortunately, the route round Arthur’s Seat was clear and no slippery patches were encountered. I wasn’t at my best, however, and so for the first time at Holyrood I did a fair bit of walking on the uphill section (ie most of it - or at least half!) This did give me the excuse to get the phone out and take a few pictures though. The view as we were making our descent coincided with the sun coming out for a while. You can compare my blip to one I did in October 2023 where the weather was a bit mistier:

Extras show another view on the way round of Prestonfield Golf Course with the snowy Pentlands in the background, and the ice on St Margaret’s Loch at the start of our course.
