Cherokee Lake/Dam

Hubby was up and out the door by 5:00 am. He got Mike to work a little early and came back to the hotel. He read by the hotel fireplace until I was ready for breakfast at 7:30. We read in the room until lunch. Hubby heated the last of our white chicken chili. We are now officially out of leftovers - thank goodness. We picked up Mike from work and took him home to change. Hubby took me to the Cherokee Lake for my blip. It is part of the Tennessee Valley Authority that built dams throughout the state. “TVA uses its 49 dams to manage lake levels and river flows to balance the competing demands on the reservoir system.” There are several hydroelectric power plants at the dams. It is a very overcast day so I had to filter the photo to make it worth blipping. We are going to 4:00 pm Mass then have dinner at Bob’s house. He is a fantastic cook. The roads were clear when we went out. Hopefully someone has cleared the steep hill going to his neighborhood. We’ve had another quiet, peaceful day. Wishing you the same. Thanks for your visit. “Not every lake dreams to be an ocean. Blessed are the ones who are happy with who they are.” - Mehmet Murat Ildan
