Snow on the hills of Hoy

I think I'm stepping into iainatcreel's territory here, blipping the Hoy hills!  
It was such a lovely frosty morning, with barely a breeze, that a walk was definitely called for. I went up to the cliffs to see if I could get some photos of the snow on Hoy. We have none near us, just icy and frost. 
Lottie had great fun, snuffling in the frozen grass. Coming home, the sun was warm on my back. A promise of months to come?

In the afternoon I delivered our old Christmas tree to a friend's goats. Good to see it being appreciated! I love to watch them, they are so curious. I do miss my animals but at least there are plenty around the place. The driving was a bit treacherous - the main roads are gritted and clear but the side roads are still sheets of ice. Each corner was an adventure! Managed to get home unscathed,  both me and the car.
