Cheesy peeps!
Got a text from Eleanor at 9.00am to say Nikki was still waiting to be moved to the labour ward. It's been a long night!
Nick the kitchen fitter popped out to turn the door on the tumble drier as Jordan discovered yesterday that he couldn't empty the water drawer as it couldn't get passed the edge of the door. Nick had it sorted in no time.
D and I went to the golf club for lunch. The course is closed as it's covered in snow but it looked beautiful with the snow covered hills in the background.
Back home to get the art work back on the walls in the garden room. As I moved one of the large paintings from the garden room to the kitchen, we had a gap to fill so we took this opportunity to reassess what we wanted to put where. Three paintings have gone back to their original positions but others have been moved and some new ones put up that haven't been displayed before, including some of mine. The room is looking much more lived in again :-)) Also put some new paintings up in the kitchen so it's now also complete.
As we had our main meal at lunchtime we opted to have cheese and biscuits for dinner. This is the first cheese we've had over the festive season. The cheese I buy at Christmas rarely gets eaten but I always feel I have to have it. We were hungrier than we realised and made quite a dent in it all, including the grapes, celery and cucumber. It was only after we'd eaten I remembered there was a melon in the fridge. I love cheese with melon. Might have that for lunch tomorrow :-))
Latest update from Ele re. Nikki was at 7pm. She was STILL waiting to be taken to the labour ward! Apparently they are very short staffed due to flu. Hope she gets proper attention soon. She must be exhausted!
