Along the Caloosahatchee River that runs from Lake Okeechobee in the south/central part of Florida out to the Gulf of Mexico at Ft. Myers.  
    The indigenous peoples of the area gave long and colorful names to the features around them.  To them those names probably describe all the particular parts and resources a person could take advantage of.  To us those names are a tongue twisting spelling puzzle with no specific meaning.  
   The white people who took over the land simply named things after themselves.
