Thank you to everyone for the messages of hope and concern. I appreciate each one of them. We would like to see an end to this horrible situation soon, but the winds continue to create havoc, so it will probably be many days before we regain some sense of normalcy.
As Kendall said, don’t take anything for granted.
We packed a few boxes with donations. They are particularly asking for hygiene, toiletries and baby supplies, blankets, linens, towels and clothing. Unfortunately the place we chose for dropping off the boxes in Irvine was already overwhelmed with donations. We’ll have to look for another site tomorrow.
Let’s hope the winds will subside and Mother Nature gives a break to the city of Angels.
