Ash dieback victim

The ash trees along the Ant Trail have been felled. The timber looks beautiful, I can imagine beautifully turned bowls created from it. I know someone who would love to collect & store some logs for his woodburner. I must remember to tell him as I don't think he walks this section of the heath. DWT manage the heath these days so maybe they know craftspeople who would be interested, it seems a shame to leave here.

I walked up to town for the papers & a few groceries, just 9am as I got to Andrew (hardware store), he was'nt open, nipped along to the launderette to checked the manned hours. Monday - Thursday. Good. Oh, Brainwave charity shop opens at 9am. I need jeans for dogwalking/allotment. Scruffs basically. I tried 3 pairs, first pair not comfy/no belt tabs. 2nd pair, I was exhausted getting them on, getting them off, challenging. I think they call them jeggings. They're not for me. Third pair, perfect fit. Next brand. Price £4.50.. The very pleasant lady manager tells me there's £1.50 off the ticket price. Even better. Oh, & I need a new belt. £1... That's my Spring wardrobe sorted... :-)
Down at CK.. The morning routine completed, Mum & I completed the current jigsaw puzzle.
Up to Chudleigh for the horseracing, although these days it's more about a change of scenery & break from routine than having a 10pence wager.
