The Light

It was our intention today to look into the light and stay out of the cold.

Carol is facing a lot just now. Three issues of her own, with constant high level pain and, as yet, no solutions. The tests rumble on the conclusions undecided. Add to that her uncle and father with health issues and depression. Yet she is still seeking the light, with talk of a new house move.

Archerfield was shrouded in freezing fog. It looked other worldly. Quite beautiful. Inside the cafe thronged, the soup was hot and delicious, and the cakes were just perfect.

As I dropped her home, her man was washing the cars. He does it every Saturday, regardless of the weather. He offered a free car wash whilst I had another cuppa. It's rude to turn down those kinds of offers.
