Heart of Ice
Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your viewpoint) we haven’t had the really cold, snowy weather in the south of the UK as others, but with several nights of sub-zero temperatures, and a smattering of images on blipland, I thought I’d try creating some ice bubbles.
I used the mixture of water, washing-up liquid and glycerin I had made up for my indoor experiments, which on reflection and research probably wasn’t gloopy enough. Still I blew some bubbles onto the lawn and a few hung around for absolutely ages. However none really froze, it probably wasn’t cold enough (though my body said otherwise!). This one hung around the longest and if you look large you can see the start of some ice patterns, including the aforementioned heart. Another one taken shortly after creation is in extras.
The temperature is now warming up over the next few days so I probably won’t have a chance to try again.
