New Year, same shandy

As is traditional, the first drink of the year is a shandy - usually required for hangover purposes, but today just for tradition.

Earlier, up in time to shower and get out of the AirBnB by check out time. Happily, given the rain, our local friends were up and about and happy to have us shelter there in the gap before lunch.

Lunch was fun, though we were all expecting roast dinners, which weren’t on, but the pies were massive!

Back to collect our bags, then off to the train, a sleepy journey home, and an early night.
