Birch Catkins

Slow walk up to the park. The frost has mostly gone and the field was still hard so good to walk on without getting muddy. Just over half hour at a slow regular pace.

Had to sweep the hallway as it had yesterday’s sand collected under the dried off shoes.

Looked at some of the trees for interest so Hazel catkins and birch catkins spotted. Goat willow, maple & oak early buds but not yet sticky. Dead thistle heads and tiny leaves starting on the wild rose.
