Morning Walk
Archie's walk towards the Badenoch Wall.
This is normally a quiet track but harvesting has resumed and soon road lorries will appear, to start hauling logs to the saw mill. This track also offers the shortest walking route to the shadowy east facing cliffs of Beinn a Chaorainn (Ben a Hurrran, hill of the Rowan). Here the hill offers attactuve ice climbing pitches. To partake, you put the part of your head that would normally sense fear in the bottom of your rucksack.
I have walked (safely) to the summit in winter conditions and have seen mountaineers navigating around/through the huge cornice which develops along the top rim of the cliff.
