On my way to...

...UKK = Uppsala Concert & Congress where Trio X had a traditional Carte Blanche concert  when the guest artists are secret.... One of the guests was the Norwegian sincer Silje Nergaard - a new favourite for me! 
   Her song Cocco Bello is amazing! Listen to the voice of the coconut seller! Silje told a lovely story about how she heard him and decided to use his authentic voice (and sounds on the beach) in a song. When the seller heard the result afterwards, he cried happy tears...
   You can find a lovely video of the song on Youtube as well, but I prefer the version above because you hear the coconut seller better in this version.

Here Silje's words about the song on her Facebook: "This song began in Southern Italy. I saw a man selling fresh coconut on the beach and he was chanting his sales-pitch to a little tune. I recorded his voice on my Iphone and composed this song around the tune he sang. This summer I went back to Italy with my family, and the coconut-man was still there! My sister Trude, who is a photographer, suggested that we made a video at the beach with all the colourful umbrellas and the sunbathing Italians who spontaniously came dancing with me.Enjoy "Cocco Bello"
