Windy Day in Brighton
Today Carys and I headed to Brighton to spend some time with her friend Chanel and her Family. Carys and Chanel met in Spain two years ago and became firm friends. They have 'corresponded' regularly in the last two years and last year I took Carys and William to Brighton to see her. Unlike last year we weren't so lucky with the weather, it wasn't actually raining, but when we turned onto the sea front Carys did get blown backwards by the wind!
After a leisurely lunch in the Harvester (how Carys didn't burst the amount of food she put away I don't know) we spent some time on the pier. Much easier this year without worrying about W throwing himself off! Chanel's Nanny gave the girls a tub of two pence pieces each and they had a great time on the 'push' machines. After a go on the tea cups and the hook a duck we headed for the beach to look for shells, no mean feat on Brighton's pebbly beach.
It was time to go home very quickly and the girls gave each other a big hug and then we wandered back to the station. One tired little girl rolled into bed at about 19.30.
