Pipers Lagoon Park

Another sunny day!  
Originally privately owned, the land was sold to the city to become Pipers Lagoon Park.  In the distance is Shack Island, a collection of quaint colourful shacks built during the depression by fishers wanting to live near the ocean and avoid the high taxes in the city.  They cannot be sold, and are used as summer cottages by the descendents of the original owners.
