Ridge to the summit
Today was a cracker. I took the day off work to climb Mt Manson.
Not the blue skies of Sunday and a longer and harder day.
We bush bashed through scrub, infamous Matagouri, scrambled up what felt like and seemed to be near vertical slopes of Beech forest, picked our way up rocky outcrops and ridges, spent many hours wearing crampons and wielding ice axes and generally had a thoroughly good time :-)

I can't remember if I was having a good time when I took this. But I know for sure I felt immensely grateful for the moment and the ability to drag climb my way up there.
A stellar day and experience.
8+ hours later and we were back at the cars.
